Tekken goes back to its old school roots

Tekken 6 was quite clunky. Sure it had all the right fighting elements, but overall, the fighting and the story were worlds apart. If you didn't have any one to play that with, chances are, it's gathering dust on your shelves. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 however revives the system that was long forgotten by Tekken fans, and shows how Tekken can still be that old-school fun fighter that you once knew.

New players as well as old enthusiasts should definitely visit the Fight Lab on the game's first boot, to get familiarised with the game's fighting mechanics in possibly the most fun way this series has ever offered. This pretty much replaces any mission mode or story mode that was present in the previous games, which I feel is a better option than playing a different game mode, which wasn't really good to begin with.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 brings back the old-school, fast paced, fighting system. If you're good with the moves you can juggle your opponent throughout the match's duration and bring in a perfect victory. You'll also have to quickly learn to defend against these juggles as quickly as possible, since both the AI and the competition online can get pretty ruthless.

There's a lot to do in the game even when you're not fighting, which makes TTT2 a better Tekken to have than any of its previous current-gen games.
